Galifianakis has been a mainstay in many films which include The Hangover Trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010). The Campaign (2012), Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). Galifianakis has also voiced characters in animated films such as Puss In Boots (2011) and The Lego Batman Movie (2017). He also voices Missing Link (2019) and Ron's Gone Wrong (2211). His mother is Scottish-Irish and English origin, and his paternal grandparents are Greek immigrants from Crete. He was baptized within his father's Greek Orthodox faith. He has Merritt his younger sister along with Greg, his older brother. The cousin of his Nick Galifianakis (Washington Post cartoonist) is his uncle. Galifianakis was educated at Wilkes Central High School and after that, he attended North Carolina State University where he was a communications student.
