Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix's athletic talent was evident from the moment she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas to become a professional athlete. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third of each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
